Fabrication of technology verification specimen for non-destructive examination

Non-destructive examination is used for evaluating the soundness of structures without permanently altering them. For further improvement of the reliability and accuracy, research and study have been conducted domestically and internationally, where mockups with simulated defects are required as objects to be subjected to detection and evaluation.

Our technology regarding machining, strength, corrosion, and weld of materials has enabled us to introduce in the material fatigue crack and stress corrosion cracking (SCC) which are exactly like defects that may be generated in objects actually used.

At your request, we are ready to fabricate and provide specimens for NDE technology verification.

Artificial defect Fatigue crack
Stress corrosion cracking (SCC; Stress Corrosion Cracking)
Weld defect (incomplete fusion, blowhole, etc.)
Artificial defect from electric-discharge and wire-cut machining
Main equipment Fatigue testing machine (Capacity: 100 ton)
