Introduction to FraD services

　We are pleased to introduce our newly created brochure for our FraD (Fractography x Deep Learning) services.

　Fractography is a method that involves the observation and analysis of fracture surfaces in materials and components. It serves as a valuable technique for investigating the causes of failures and destructive accidents.
　Estimating the causes and processes of failure requires a high level of expertise in identifying specific fracture modes. However, in recent years, the industry has faced a shortage of researchers and engineers with the necessary expertise, presenting a serious challenge.
　
　To address this issue, Kobe Material Testing Laboratory is using AI, with a particular focus on rapidly advancing Deep Learning, to address the Industry’s challenges.
　The development of FraD, which automatically identifies fracture modes, is our first step in this endeavor.
